Following the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, we learned that the actor would not be recast in the two-part finale The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, and he had actually finished most of his filming before passing away. However, for the few things that still needed to be filmed, it was said that visual effects would be used to recreate Hoffman’s likeness in order to complete his part in the film.
