Sony's Crackle Officiallly Bringing Back David Spade for 'Joe Dirt 2'

You may remember this past spring that David Spade revealed in a Reddit AMA that he was developing a wholly unnecessary sequel to the 2001 comedy Joe Dirt. But rather than hitting theaters, the film was going to be the first to be distributed by Sony Pictures’ streaming video service Crackle, which is where Jerry Seinfeld’s popular web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” can be found. Now Crackle has officially announced that Joe Dirt 2 will begin shooting next month with Spade also executive producing and co-writing the film again with Fred Wolf, the original film’s co-writer, who will be directing the film too. ›››
